Kroot Stealth Suit Artwork by Darius

Hello All!

As an effort to try to expand Stillfrosty Conversions into new and exciting realms in the 40k universe, I have contacted several artists to do a feature on them as provide artwork for my website. So the first Artist I would like to introduce to all of you goes by the nickname Darius.

His real name is Egoitz Pinto. He currently lives in Spain and graduated with an Art Degree at his local university. He has collaborated in many artistic projects in his country, including character design for computer animation, drawing illustrations for exhibitions, and even making atrezzo (accessories), stage designs, and sets for movies.

He studies japanese, loves heavy metal, wolves, wargames and RPGs, raw meat, crunchy chocolate, and spiked wristbands.

He also maintains a webcomic in spanish called “Que te den” (GTFOff) and recently started a new one in both languages; English and spanish called “EATATAU” about his particular views of “Warjamer 40,000″ (no, that is not incorrect!). Besides doing Web Comics, he does commissions on artwork so if you have a favorite model that you wanted a picture of or a favorite scene you wanted visualized then he is the man to talk to!

I encourage you to check out his website: http://eatatau.smackjeeves.com/ as the comic he has been working on is very hilarious! There is also a link to contact him and to ask for commissions work.

White Scars Rhino with Forgeworld doors

So since I am using Legion of the Damned models for my tactical marines in my White Scars army, I can’t have them walking can I? So here is their ride! Fully painted and with this particular tank I decided to include black panels to show that it was a Tactical Marine Rhino and because even though the Legion models will have a majority of a white color scheme, they will still have black panels on their armor.

White Scars Legion of the Damned… or wait Tactical Marines???

Hello All!

I wanted to show off my recently built Legion of the Damned models that I plan on using as White Scars Tactical Marines. When I originally was planning on building tactical marines I was going to use the new space wolf box, however after seeing these bad boys, they have replaced the space wolves to become my new tactical marines. What makes this even sweeter is that next month they are coming out with even more legion of the damned models!!! So I can further personalize my tactical squads with unique models in each one.

Also I apologize about the lighting. There was nothing I can do because they were metal models. However once they are painted they will look 10 times better.

So I look forward to hearing what you think!

Chaos Daemons Bloodthirster

Hello everybody!

This is a bloodthirster that I was asked to paint (my first commission I might add!).  With help from Frosty on creating the base I went to work.  I was asked to paint red skin with black wings to go along with purple/pink/gold armor.  I hope the owner of this model will be happy how it turned out!

What are your thoughts on the paint scheme?

Out with the old and In with the New

Well That theme didn’t work out too long… Well I guess it is best to keep things fresh.

Anyways, Besides reporting a new theme selection due to some malfunctions with the previous one, I was looking for some feedback for this website. I feel that solely having conversions and painted miniatures is fun, but this site is for everything 40k. So I have a couple of things in mind in how I plan on ultimately integrate into the site, but I want to hear what you guys had in mind as well, especially since this site was made for Gamers by Gamers and I want to cater to everyone’s tastes!

I look forward to hearing your interesting and creative ideas!

Terminators of the Living Dead

Continuing on with more Nurgle Exploits…

Here is a unit of Nurgle Terminators that I just finished. My goal was to implement a “Zombified and Diseased” look to them with a little bit of puss here and there and I think they came out quite nicely. Some details might be a little hard to work out due to the lighting, but after I am done priming them, I’ll take another group shot and throw it in there so you can see the end result.

I hope you all enjoy!

Nurgle Tanks Commission

Hello All!

I just wanted to show off some “nurglized” tanks that I did for apart of a commission. This is going to be the first of many updates on Nurgle Chaos Space Marines. For those who are concerned, no I didn’t break down and buy a new army! I will however be building and painting a chaos army from scratch which is pretty awesome if you ask me.

So this installment is for three Rhinos and one Vindicator. So once these bad boys are done, I have one more vindicator to do along with all of the infantry and daemons.

I used a product called “pumice paste” which when applied to large surfaces it shows a texture and has a little bit of a grit to it. When it is all said and done it is going to resemble puss, disease, vomit and so forth which are the trade marks of a Nurgle army. Did I mention that we also wants zombies built into his army? So because of this, the vehicles have zombie/undead parts for flavor and even a zombie gunner. However when I begin to work on infantry, expect to see way more zombies in the mix!

I hope you all enjoy these as much as I did building them and feedback is always appreciated!

In case you were wondering… Yes that is a Necron Warrior strapped to the front of the demolisher cannon! MUHAHAHA!

White Scars Attack Bike Quads

Hello All!

Here are some of the converted Attack bikes I have been working on. The motivation for these were that even though the attack bike kit is nice, it simply does not fit the theme of the White Scars. The Attack bike with sidecar is more bulky and appears slow and slow units have no place in a White Scars army!

So my aim was to produce a unit more fitting to a streamlined and sleek nature of the rest of the army and I decided to create “Quads” to represent my attack bikes. They are a bit bulkier then the regular bikes but they still appear as if they are as fast as them (which is awesome).

Enough talk about them. Here are some pictures of the 8 multi-melta attack quads that I converted up. I still have plans to do 4 more in the coming months but we will save that until later.

Custom White Scars Attack Bike bases

Here are close ups of the custom bases I made for my custom White Scars Attack bikes. I decided to use various pieces from a variety of different armies to help me distinguish which Bikes belong to which squads. It also allows me to identify which armies I have grudges with! So here they are!

Cadian Commission part 1

Hello all!

I was recently contracted to create scenic bases and build an entire Cadian Imperial Guard army. So this is the first update of many for this particular army. The first build was a imperial guard battalion box set and to turn it into a platoon. The sentinel in that box set is being put on hold until I can get a squadron of them ready so they can be used as one unit with similar bases.

The customer was looking for (of all things) a Nazi German themed Imperial Guard army in a city battlefield. That is why I opted to stay away from the “gothic” ruins that GW sells in favor of a more post industrial look consisting of bricks, piping, and other assorted pieces. Without further ado… Here is the end result of the project thus far.
